The NICD News Magazine/E-Zine/Newsletter covers the issues of addiction, addictions, getting help, interventions, teenage alcoholism and drug addiction, recovery, prevention, the politics of addiction, housing, funding, treatment, family resources, mental health, medical, spirituality, health and wellness, articles and video presentations, and so much more. The magazines history goes back to 1988, which was originally called The Brick Wall, and was only available, via print, to Arizona residents. Today, our magazine goes out to individuals, agencies, government departments, treatment centers, halfway houses, authors, as well as alcoholics and drug addicts. It has been, and will continue to be, a resource that is timely and has no borders to whom it can and does reach- we are International in our subscriber base. Our E-Zine will be delivered to you in a confidential email with a link directly to the magazines current edition.

 

NOTE: Due to the search engine spiders crawling our site around the 1st week of each month, we have decided to publish our magazine quarterly starting immediately with the October 2004 edition. This will allow the magazine to be published on the search engines, allowing more access to more visitors and subscribers. Thank you for your understanding of this policy/schedule change.

As with all our email lists, we do not keep the names of our subscribers in an effort to protect everyone's confidentiality and anonymity- This being so, if you send an unsubscribe email, you must include, if it differs from the one you are using to send an unsubscribe email, the email address that you wish to have deleted, which may be different than the one you use now, or the one you used when signing up for our magazine, (Note: This can occur if you have changed your ISP, email address, or Web Hosting Company and you signed up to receive our emails from a previously used email address). Hot Tip

Look for natural experiences to talk with your kids/teens about drugs and alcohol. There are scenes from movies and TV that portray alcohol and or drugs being used- these would make for a discussion without confrontation.
